2012: a recap
2012 was amazing. It was a year filled with travel, adventures, new experiences and new beginnings. I traveled to Mexico to celebrate my Mom's 60th birthday and got to see the Rockie mountains up close and personal on a trip to Banff with JP. I took a three week holiday in the summer to Europe with a couple of girlfriends, visiting England, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. In November I jetted to Bermuda with my sisters and Mom to celebrate Lindsay's birthday. I got to visit my Dad in his new town of Kincardine a couple of times and spent many summer weekends on Muskoka's many lakes. I also achieved a few milestone's with the blog, including celebrating my blog's first anniversary, opening my Etsy shop and starting a style section. At home, JP and I hosted my sister and brother-in-law in our guest room for the second half of the year, while they tried to buy a home in the crazy Toronto real estate market. It was crowded, but was pretty fun to have roommates for a little while. Plus it helped us to save some money, which is always a good thing! And then, just before Christmas Jon and I celebrated our 10th anniversary with an engagement. It was a total surprise and was the most perfect, romantic moment of my life (I'll have a full post with more details soon!). I can't imagine ending 2012 on a better note.
